Welcome to the Association of Upper GI Surgeons trainee (AUGISt) website
We aim to represent the views of trainees in all branches of upper gastrointestinal surgery (oesophagogastric, hepatobiliary, pancreatic and bariatric surgery). Membership of AUGISt is automatic on joining AUGIS as a trainee member.
The AUGIS Annual Scientific Meeting is fast approaching, and I look forward to welcoming everyone to Leeds in September. In particular I encourage trainees to sign up for the training day on Wednesday, 21 September in St James’s Hospital. “Jimmies” often feels like my second home, and we will be making the most of its state-of-the-art facilities to provide a highly educational day including laparoscopic skills training, masterclass “How I do it” videos from an internationally-renowned faculty and an exam-style OSCE. The day will finish with dinner in a top Leeds restaurant.
